Our Story

Formerly known as Temp-O-Matic, Tomco Mechanical Corporation was founded in Brooklyn, New York as a refrigeration services company in 1972. Over a distinguished 50-year history, Tomco has grown to be one of the leading regional providers of commercial refrigeration and HVAC services. Today, Tomco proudly serves a diverse range of clientele throughout northern New Jersey, New York City (NYC), Long Island, the Hudson Valley, upstate New York, and southwestern Connecticut.

Introducing Tomco Mechanical

The company rebranded and evolved from Temp-O-Matic to Tomco Mechanical Corporation.

Relocation to Freeport, NY

Tomco relocated to Freeport, New York to serve a larger customer base.

1994

An Evolution in Leadership and Services

John Martinelli joined Tomco and expanded its commercial refrigeration footprint to serve customers in northern New Jersey, upstate New York and western Connecticut.

Tomco Partnered with NYC SCA

Tomco's HVAC business expanded significantly through a partnership with the New York City Department of Education’s Schools Construction Authority (“NYC SCA”).

Relocation to Westbury, NY

Tomco moved to our current 17,000 square foot headquarters in Westbury, New York.
